For Hardware Companies ⚠ 3 spots this quarter

The day you enter the test lab
is too late to fix your design.

Most EMC failures are caused by design decisions made months before anyone walked into a test lab. We review your files, identify every risk, and give your team a specific fix plan — before you spend money on boards that won't pass.

Not ready to commit? Start with a free 30-minute EMC Risk Review — a focused diagnostic, no sales pitch. Dario reviews your project and tells you specifically where your risk is. Limited to 4 calls per month.

Who we work with — and who we don't

We accept a limited number of engagements per quarter. Read both columns carefully before applying.

✓ We're a fit if…
  • You run a hardware team building real products — aerospace, automotive, industrial, medical, or defence
  • Your company is mid-size to enterprise — clients include Fortune 500 companies and major corporations
  • Your product targets CE, FCC, MIL-STD, or similar certification — and failures carry real consequences
  • Your product has failed EMC or pre-compliance testing, or you're heading into the lab with known risks
  • You have a real deadline — a launch date, customer delivery, or regulatory submission you can't push
  • The decision-maker — CTO, Head of Hardware, or Engineering Director — is part of the engagement
  • You can share project files — Altium, KiCad, or equivalent
  • You want your engineers to understand what went wrong, not just apply a fix and hope it holds
✗ We're not a fit if…
  • You need a test lab, certification body, or someone to sign a declaration of conformity
  • You're shopping around for the cheapest option or a quick workaround
  • Your design is frozen and your team won't change the layout
  • Your project has no defined certification timeline or regulatory target
  • Budget for this engagement hasn't been allocated or approved
  • You want someone to just get you through the next test with no interest in understanding why
  • You're an individual engineer looking for personal mentoring — our courses are the right fit for that
Ways to work with us

Two ways in — one is built for the long game.

Most companies need more than a one-time review. The Architect System gives your team a permanent EMC partner — audits, architecture, and training in one engagement. The single audit is for companies tackling a specific certification without need for an ongoing commitment.

Single Project
EMC Design Audit
€8,000 one-time · 10 business days

Up to 3 boards · Up to 8 layers · Confidentiality terms on request · + VAT

For hardware teams approaching a fabrication decision or managing a failed test. We review your design files, identify every EMC risk, and give your engineers a specific, prioritised plan to fix it.

  • 45-min kickoff call — you walk us through your product, target standard, and deadline before we touch any files
  • Full review of EMC risks: layer stack, schematics, return current paths, power layout
  • Identification of every noise source and exact mitigation strategy for each
  • Prioritised fix list — most critical issues first
  • Specific written fixes for every finding, written for your exact project
  • 60-min debrief call — Dario walks through every finding live with your team, explains reasoning, customises solutions in real time

Common questions

Everything you need before applying

What exactly happens on the kickoff and debrief calls?+
The kickoff call (45 min) happens before any files are opened. You walk Dario through your product — architecture, what you're concerned about, target standard, and timeline. This shapes how the entire review is approached.

The debrief call (60 min) happens after the written report is delivered. Dario walks through every finding in person — explaining the root cause, why it matters for your specific standard, and how to fix it. Solutions are customised live based on your real constraints.
How much does the EMC Design Audit cost?+
€8,000 + VAT for up to 3 boards and up to 8 layers. Add-ons available for extra boards (€1,350 each), extra layer pairs (€700 each), additional calls (€1,350), or faster delivery (+35%). Payment by invoice — Stripe, PayPal, or bank transfer.
What files do I need to provide?+
At minimum: your PCB project files (Altium, KiCad, or equivalent), schematic, stackup information, and your target EMC standard. Any existing pre-compliance data is helpful but not required. All files are shared under confidentiality terms agreed before sharing.
We've already failed EMC testing. Is it too late?+
No — this is one of the clearest use cases for the audit. A failed test report gives us specific data to work from. The audit identifies which design decisions caused the failure and what the fastest path to a passing result looks like.
Do you work with any PCB design software?+
Yes. Dario has 8+ years with Altium Designer and strong working knowledge of KiCad. For other tools, exported files (Gerbers, netlists, PDFs) combined with the native project files are sufficient.
What if I apply and don't qualify?+
You'll receive a response within 48 hours. If the audit isn't the right fit, you'll be directed to the most relevant free resource with a personalised recommendation.
Is there a confidentiality agreement?+
Confidentiality terms can be put in place before any files are shared, if required. Available on request at any stage of the process.
