EMI can only be controlled by proper filtering and shielding!
Or is it?
Not true! This is one of the misconceptions I often have to debunk for my clients.
In fact, I’d argue that relying on last-minute band-aid fixes like these
can sometimes create more problems than they solve.
Don’t get me wrong—filters and shields have their place.
But I wouldn’t rely on them come testing day!
So, what’s the best approach?
Tackling EMI right from the start—starting with the printed circuit board (PCB) layout.
This proactive strategy opens up plenty of options to keep EMI under control.
